Activating your licence and updates

Editant Pro unlocks once you activate the licence key from your purchase confirmation.

Activate

Go to Editant → Licences, paste your licence key, and click Activate. The status changes to Active and the Pro features become available.

Site limits

Each licence covers a set number of sites: one on Solo, five to thirty on Studio, unlimited on Network. Activating on a site takes one slot. When every slot is in use, activation is refused with a message saying so: deactivate the key on a site you no longer need, or change plan for more sites, then try again.

Changing plan raises the limit on your existing key automatically; there is no new key to enter. See Managing your subscription.

Moving the licence to another site

To free a slot, open Editant → Licences on the site you are leaving and click Deactivate on this site, then activate the key on the new site. Deleting Editant Pro through the WordPress Plugins page also releases the slot. A site that is deleted or lost without either step keeps its slot; release it from the licence’s activations in the customer portal.

Updates

While the licence is active, Editant Pro updates appear in the normal WordPress Dashboard → Updates screen and can be applied like any other plugin update. If a licence lapses, updates stop and a Renew licence link appears next to Editant Pro on the Plugins page. A brief connection problem will not lock you out: a valid licence keeps working for up to seven days if the licence server cannot be reached.
