Connecting an AI provider

The AI review tools need a connection to an AI provider. Editant does not include one and stores no keys; you bring your own, through WordPress’s Connectors.

Requirements

The AI features require WordPress 7.0 or later, where the Connectors framework lives. On earlier WordPress the rest of Editant Pro works as normal, but the AI tools stay hidden.

Connect a provider

Go to Settings → Connectors and add your provider and its API key. Editant reads the connection from there and keeps no key of its own.

Choose a model

On Editant → AI, the Model preference dropdown lists the connected provider’s models. Leave it on Let the provider choose, or pick a specific model. The Features section on the same page lets you switch each AI tool on or off individually.
