Drafting an edit from a comment

The flagship AI tool turns a reviewer’s comment into a concrete, ready-to-review edit.

Drafting the edit

When a reviewer leaves a comment anchored to a passage, open that comment in the Comments section of the Editant sidebar and click Draft edit from this comment. Editant reads the comment, works out the change it asks for, and drafts a replacement for the anchored text.

Reviewing the draft

The draft appears in the Suggestions section as an AI draft suggestion, with a “Read as:” line showing how the comment was understood. Accept, reject, or mark it as done like any other suggestion. Low-confidence drafts, and ones where the original text has since changed, are held back rather than applied blindly.
