Generating review links
Inviting reviewers
Editant Pro can send the review link for you. Pick a reviewer, check the wording, and the invitation goes out from your site with the link inside it.
Sending an invitation
Open the post in the block editor, switch the Editant sidebar to the Access tab, and expand Invite a reviewer below the links list.
- In Reviewer, pick someone from your directory or type an email address. For a new address a Name (optional) field and a Save to reviewers box appear; tick the box to add them to the directory for next time.
- Click Prepare invitation. Editant creates the review link and fills in a Subject and Message from your invitation template, with the link already in place. Edit the wording if you like, or click Change to go back and pick someone else.
- Click Send invitation. The email goes out from your site. Copy puts the link on your clipboard if you would rather send it another way.
The link is a normal review link: it appears in the Links section with the others, follows your default link settings, and can be revoked or regenerated there. The reviewer still gives their name and email on first visit, exactly as with a link you share by hand.
The reviewer directory
Editant → Reviewers lists the people you invite regularly. Add reviewer takes a name, an email address and private notes; you can edit or remove an entry at any time. The directory feeds the reviewer picker in the sidebar, so a regular reviewer is one click away. Anyone with permission to manage review links can use it.
Directory entries are personal data. They are included when you export or erase a person’s data through the WordPress privacy tools, matched on email address. See Personal data export.
Changing the invitation wording
The invitation is one of the branded notification emails. Its default subject and body live on Editant → White-labelling under Reviewer invitation, and whatever you set there is what the sidebar fills in before you send. See Branding and editing notification emails.
