Per-link settings

Every review link is created from the site-wide defaults configured on the Editant Settings page. The free plugin applies the same defaults to each new link. Editant Pro adds true per-link controls (see the Pro articles on per-link access control and anonymous links).

The defaults applied to a link

  • Expiry: how long a link stays active after it is created. Set the default under Editant → Settings (default 30 days; 0 means no expiry).
  • Reviewer identification: Name only or Name and email. Anonymous access is an Editant Pro feature.

Changing the settings

To change the settings used for new links, update the defaults under Editant → Settings, then generate a fresh link. Regenerating an existing link rotates its token, so the old URL stops working, but keeps the same settings and expiry; existing comments and decisions are preserved. Editant Pro adds per-link settings you can edit in place.
