Requesting a re-review

When a reviewer asks for changes, make the edits and then tell them the post is ready for another look. Editant emails everyone whose last decision was Changes requested and records that you asked.

Asking for another look

Open the post in the block editor and expand the Decisions section of the Editant sidebar. While at least one reviewer has changes outstanding, a Request re-review button is shown. Click it, add an optional Message to reviewers (a line on what you changed helps), and click Send request.

The section then shows Re-review requested with the date, and the request survives reloads. You can send another request later if you make further changes.

Who is emailed

A reviewer receives the email when their latest decision on the post is Changes requested, their review link is still active, and they left an email address. Each address is emailed once, even if the same person holds several links. The email asks them to return through the link they already have; it does not contain a new link. Once back, they can record a fresh decision, and the dashboard shows the new state.

If a reviewer’s link has expired, regenerate it first from the Links section and share it again; a revoked link cannot be revisited and its holder is not emailed.

When nobody can be emailed

Reviewers who did not leave an email address cannot be notified. The request is still recorded, and the sidebar tells you that no email went out, so share the link with them by hand.

With Editant Pro

The request is written to the audit log, and the Re-review request email is branded and editable like the other notifications. Before you send, Changes since last approval shows you exactly what moved since the reviewer last saw the post, which is worth summarising in the message. See Branding and editing notification emails.
