Retention windows

Retention windows let you automatically age out review data you no longer need to keep, which helps with data-minimisation obligations.

Configuring it

Go to Editant → Retention and set a number of days for each of: comment content, reviewer personal data, snapshot content, and suggestion content. Leave a field blank to keep that data indefinitely. A daily sweep anonymises or empties anything past its window.

Overriding it for one post

A single post can depart from the site defaults. Open the Review retention section of the Editant editor sidebar and set Keep this post’s review data to Use site default, Keep indefinitely, or Custom number of days.

What is never removed

The audit log, the approval records, and the signing key are never purged, so your compliance trail stays intact. When snapshot content is aged out, its cryptographic hash is kept, so previously signed approvals still verify.
